James H. Champion
WARE SHOALS--James H. Champion, 86, of Green Acre Drive, widower of Mrs. Nanny Blackwell Champion, died Saturday in Maryland.
Native of Spartanburg County; son of the late John and Sarah Price Champion; resident of Mayor (sic) before moving to Ware Shoals; a carpenter; member of Mayo Baptist Church.
Surviving: daughters, Mrs. Furman E. Hawkins of Ware Shoals, Mrs. Burton Humphries, Port Deposit, Md.; brother, Melton Champion of Mayo; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside serivces 2 Tuesday in Mayo Baptist Church Cemetery.
Body in church at 1 Tuesday.
Parker-White Funeral Home.
