Alletta lived a life with much strength and loyalty to all those whom she loved. One she was very proud of, being a loving and devoted wife of forty-three years to her late husband, William “Bill” Hemphill.
Alletta enjoyed talking to her cats and “Baba” her macaw parrot. Alletta also enjoyed planting flowers, especially roses, and she took much enjoyment in the colors of the rainbow. Even though she enjoyed all the colors, her favorite was red, meaning love. Alletta never missed a moment spending time with all her animals, especially her “dogs.”
Alletta loved her grandchildren. They would raise that rosy red smile Alletta wore upon her face. Alletta will be missed greatly by her family and friends and all of those who knew her.
Alletta leaves behind her two daughters, Cynthia Gonzales and Shirley Redelfs, her one son, Jerry Roesberry, thirteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Alletta will be conducted on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Safford L.D.S. Twentieth Street Chapel by Bishop James McBride of the Safford Second Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Gila Valley Memorial Gardens where Alletta will be laid to rest with her husband, William Hemphill.
