She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Troy Wall; and sons, Larry Michael Snipes and Michael Wayne Carpenter.
Survivors include her daughter, Melanna Carpenter Wray and her husband, David Wray; daughter-in-law, Beth Carpenter; grandson, Josh Carpenter; first cousin (like a sister), Carol Earp (Tommy) and her faithful dog, Pogo.
She had a generous heart and spirit always giving and sharing to those in need. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church and a long-time employee of Bryce Hospital. She ten enjoyed many retirement years and giving in Destin, Fla. She was a faithful donor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, having lost two of her children to cancer and was also a supporter of the Jimmie Hale Mission.
Pallbearers will be Gary Williams, Michael Wray, David Earp, Chris Roberts, Barry glass, and Mark Pugh. Honorary pallbearers are Carol Earp and Tommy Earp, Shirley Faber, Blanche Beam, John Whalen, Jean Carnright, and The FOCUS on Senior Citizens Canasta Group.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital or Jimmie Hale Mission. Condolences may be offered at www.heritagechapeltuscaloosa.com.
