Melton - Tommy Pierce Melton, loving husband of 69 years to Ina Lee Melton (nee Nash), went home with his Lord, Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 18 in Kissimmee, Florida. He was 89. He is survived by his wife, their four children, Kay Frantz (Dick), Montrose, CO; Tommy Melton (Sandy), St. Louis, MO; Stephen Melton (Kathy), St. Louis, MO; and Martha Bowers (Bill), Kissimmee, FL; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by grandson, James Melton.

Born July 13, 1925 in Branson, MO, youngest of seven children, to Higdon and Daisy Melton, he was a veteran of WWII and Korean War, then employed with McDonnell Aircraft in St. Louis. Upon retirement in Florida, he served his church, traveled, and spent time with his wife.

He will be remembered for his wit, humor and engaging smile, but mostly for the legacy of faith passed on to his family and countless others. Celebration of life service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, Kissimmee. Internment at the National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.
