MRS. GEORGE MEERWARTH
Mrs. George Meerwarth, the former Mary J. White, died at Warner Nursing Home Tuesday afternoon after a long illness. She was 85 years old last April 30, a native of North Hoosick, daughter of the late Joseph and Jane Brakey White.
Her education had been received in the North Hoosick schools. She was married to George Meerwarth at North Hoosick and had resided in Hoosick and Bennington all her life. For the past 11 years she had made her home with her brother, James H. White, and nephews, a sister-in-law, Mrs. White, on Union street.
Survivors are; A brother, James H. White, Bennington; also nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles White, Bennington.
The funeral will be held from Mahar Funeral Home Friday at 2 pm with the Rev. Stephen Greene, Second Congregational Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hoosick Falls. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 9 pm.
