He was born November 28, 1896, in Fort Smith , Arkansas to Pendleton Graves Nixon and Rhoda Eleanor Davis. He married Hilda Rutledge September 2, 1922, in Baird, Texas.
Mr. Nixon retired in 1961 from Shell Oil Co. He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the Army. He moved to Odessa in 1944 from Iraan. Mr. Nixon lived in Forsan from 1951 to 1955, when he moved to Seminole. He moved again to Odessa in July 1975 from Seminole.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Lawrence A. "Sonny" Nixon of Clayton, NM; a brother, Waldo Nixon, of Bell, CA; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
