Heaven received a very special angel, Cathy Diane “Boc” Cummings, 58, of Kokomo, at 8:00 AM Thursday December 25, 2014 from her residence. Born September 30, 1956 in Kokomo, she is the daughter of the late James C. Shelton and Catherine (Murphy) Dillman. She was a 1975 graduate of Haworth High School. She retired from Delco Electronics after 27 years of service. She was a member of U.A.W. Local #292. She loved playing BINGO. Her grandchildren were her life and she loved going to their sporting events which included Western High School basketball games, Evansville Aces, and UCT Little League Baseball.
Survivors include three daughters Joy (Dennis) Balentine, Amy (Mike) Adcock, and Ashley Dawn Cummings, all of Kokomo; two sisters Ginny “Nin” McMillin of Kokomo, Jamie (John) McKean of Monticello, IN; ex-husband Cleo J. Cummings Jr. of Kokomo; grandchildren D.J. Balentine, Des Balentine, Kamrun Adcock, and Graycee Adcock; one half-brother J.D. Shelton of Evansville. There are also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, several aunts and uncles, and one nephew Michael Jenkins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Pastors Eric Catron and Jeff Iacobazzi will officiate. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Monday at the mortuary. Memorials may be directed to Guardian Angel Hospice with envelopes available at the mortuary.
