Information which was supplied by his nephew, Earl P. Wilder, in the book "The Book of The Wilders, Third Edition, Supplement 15, Page 128."

His full name was Corydon Mortimer Wilder.

"He left home at age 12 to work on neighboring farms for board. He moved to Canton Center, Connecticut with his brothers, Oliver Lory and Walter, in 1869. He worked on farms in northwestern Connecticut. He entered Bristol Company Rolling Mill where his right hand was mangled in 1880. Moved to Waterbury, Connecticut and worked in grain and feed store as Clerk-Manager-Owner until his death."

"Married Nellie (or Ellen) Agnes Horigan on December 27, 1888 at Waterbury, Connecticut. Their children included Minnie Wilder, George W. Wilder, and Olive Wilder."
