Nicole L. "Nikkie" Howard, 24, of the 2800 block of Barclay Ave., died Dec. 14, 1996, in Suffolk. She was born in Portsmouth.
Survivors include a daughter, Annette Nicole Howard of Portsmouth; a son, Calvin Lee Howard of Portsmouth; mother, Hattie L. Howard of Portsmouth; father, Lemuel B. Howard; five sisters, Janet L. Kingbur, Sophia N. Shaw, Benita M. Howard of Portsmouth, Linda M. Howard, all of Portsmouth, Evon Howard of Woodbridge, Va.; two brothers, Lemuel B. Howard Jr. of Portsmouth, Tyrone Howard of Washington, D.C.; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Holy Light Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth, by Pastor Samuel Carruth and Evangelist Charlotte Stokes. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Gardens, Portsmouth. Viewing will be from 2 to 6 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Family and friends will assemble at 2746 Greenwood Drive at 12:15 p.m. for the procession to the church. Serenity Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
