Jody Michael Johnson, 28 years of age, of Bronston, Kentucky, departed this life on Friday, December 26th, 2014 from injuries he received during an automobile accident at the intersection of West Kentucky 80 and the Kentucky 914 bypass.

Jody was born on July 25th, 1986 in Somerset, Kentucky, son of Michael R. Johnson and Phyllis Ann Bourne Johnson. Jody was of the Baptist faith, worked at Frisch's and enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, car shows, spending time with his family and friends, cracking jokes and working on cars with his dad.

Jody was survived by his father and step-mother, Michael (and Margarita) Johnson of Somerset, Kentucky; his mother, Phyllis Johnson of Bronston, Kentucky; his fiance, Stephanie Uffman of Somerset, Kentucky; two step brothers, Tony (and Beth) Peters of Somerset, Kentucky and Kenneth (and Jessica) Peters of Shelbyville, Kentucky; one step-sister, Clevie (and Trevor) Peters of Louisville, Kentucky; two uncles, Richard (and Peggy) Johnson of Nancy, Kentucky and Darrell (and Carolee) Johnson of Somerset, Kentucky; one aunt, Gail Daniel of Somerset, Kentucky; a great-aunt, Ilena Oaks of Irvin, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends who mourn his passing..

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Marilyn Johnson, Frank and Clarice Bourne; and an uncle, Lewis Godby.

Visitations were held on Monday, December 29th, 2014 after 5:00 p.m. at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 30th, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

His pallbearers were: John Davis, Bobby James, Tony Peters, Rocky Daniel, Doyle Phelps, Tim Coffey, John Coffey, Josh Coffey, and Doug Larsen.

Burial followed in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.
