David Wayne Kern, 58, of Waynesboro, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on October 12, 1956, a son of the late Davie Lee Kern and surviving mother, Mary Jane Kern. David was a graduate of the Waynesboro High School Class of 1975.
In addition to his mother, David is survived by his brother, James Kern and his wife Angela; brother Daryl Kern; an aunt, Virginia Hilleren; uncles, Ernest "Pete" Kern and James Meadows; as well as numerous family members. He will be missed by his cats, Lil Bit and Tayla.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, Waynesboro Chapel with Reverend William Bearden officiating. Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m., an hour prior to service at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, Waynesboro Chapel.
