John W. Bott, 81, of Louisville, died Monday, October 6, 2003, at his residence. Born in Canton, OH, he was a retired employee of Ford Motor Co., with 30 years of service, a US Army veteran of World War II, a charter member of St. Stephen United Church of Christ, a Mason, a member of American Legion #220 and United Auto Workers and an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, the former Elmira Nichols; son, John E. Bott (Kathy); daughter, Diana Hellmann (Dale); sister, Lasetta Headden; grandchildren, Brandon and Jason Bott, John and Ashlea Hellman, Kimberly Kennedy (Steven) and Lisa Daigneault (Daniel); six great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens-East. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday and noon-1 p.m. Wednesday.
