Jason Cross
AGE: 33 • South Amboy
Jason Cross, 33, of Las Cruces, passed away suddenly Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and raised in South Amboy, NJ.
Jason graduated from Hoffman High School in 1998 and then went directly into the Navy until 2003. He was stationed aboard the USS City of Corpus Christi. Jason moved to Las Cruces, NM in 2007 where he met and married Nicole Cross. He has one step-daughter, Kassie Wieland, who was his entire world.
He is survived by his wife and daughter; father and stepmother, Dennis and Dolores Cross of South Amboy NJ; his mother, Cindy Rondeau and her companion, John Ocker of Beverly, NJ; brothers, Dennis, Jimi and wife Stephanie, Joseph, and sister, Denise. He also has four nephews and two nieces, Anthony, Stephen, Patrick, Timothy, and Cheyenne and Courtney.
Jason was an amazing man. Full of laughter and love for all. He was loyal to a fault and adored his family and friends. A very proud Sailor who thought of every single shipmate as family. He will be truly missed by anyone lucky enough to have met this wonderful man. "Rest your oar Sailor, be at peace".
Funeral services will be held Sunday 4pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with private cremation to follow. Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 5pm. Letters of condolence may be sent to the family at www.spezzifuneralhome.com
