Mrs. Elizabeth M. Butts, 84, whose home in Princeton was located at 609 South Church street, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter in Manlius.

The former Elizabeth Schaefer was born April 20, 1877, in Arispie township, daughter of Casper and Barbara [Beck] Schaefer. She was united in marriage to Sam Butts on March 1, 1906, in Princeton. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church and the D.Y.B. class of that church.

Survivors one son, Leland, Princeton; three daughters, Mrs. George (Eunice) Anspach, Manlius; Mrs. Vernon (Elizabeth) Madsen, Kewanee; Mrs. Roger (Grace) Lenihan, Princeton; three brothers, Charles, Fred and Albert Schaefer; two sisters, Mrs. William Lange and Mrs. William Hassler. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband and one daughter, Alice.
