Clergyman. He was a Catholic priest in the state of Connecticut for more than 50 years. At the time of his death he was the pastor of St. Aloysius Church in Plantsville. He graduated in 1944 from St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield and received his BA degree in 1945 from Catholic University of America as a Basselin Scholar. He also received his Master's degree in philosophy and a licentiate degree in theology and attended Sulpician Seminary in Washington D.C. and later continued graduate studies at Fairfield University. He was ordained to the priesthood at St. Joseph Cathedral in Hartford on May 18, 1950. His parish assignments included St. Thomas Church in Goshen, St. Rita's Church in Hamden, St. Mary's Church in Newington, St. Paul's Church in Glastonbury, St. James Church in Manchester, Sacred Heart Church in Waterbury - where he became principal of Sacred Heart High School and was in residence at St. Patrick's Church. He was a longtime pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Waterbury, serving from 1978 until he was assigned to St. Aloysius in 1990, where he served well beyond retirement age. The parish center constructed at St. Aloysius in 2008 bears his name.
