Katherine Elizabeth Boots Garcia passed from this world on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. She was born on December 3, 1944 in Louisiana, MO to Walter and Lora Boots.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lora Boots; and her loving husband of 23 years, Gary R. Garcia Sr.
She is survived by brother, Jerry Boots and his wife Cherlyn of Louisiana, MO; son, Gilbert Harrison and his wife Vicki of Texas City; daughter, Belinda Millender and her husband Terry of Crystal Beach; son, Christopher Harrison and his wife Charlotte of Texas City; step-sons, Gary R. Garcia and wife Frieda of Kerville, and Christopher Garcia of Houston; son by association, Demetrius Mayes; grandchildren, Talisa Rodriguez and husband, Matias, Heather Harrison, Ami Millender, Ahmyla Garcia, Dominic Garcia; great grandchildren Cohnley Rodriguez, Tiffany Tobar, Donovan Rodriguez, Sierra Rodriguez, Cody Cartwright; other nieces and nephews and her loyal canine companion, Butch.
Katherine was a very loving and devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church of Liberty, Texas. Katherine had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who encountered her presence.
She would like to thank Shelli and Ted Bowles for their help and friendship over the years. We would also like to thank Dr Michael C Boyars and UTMB for all of the excellent care and support that they’ve given her over the years.
