Born October 22, 1934, age 80, returned to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 14, 2014, after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Russell Lehman; her children, sons, Dr. Daniel (Jane) Lehman; Mark Lehman; daughter, Cheryl Lehman; grandchildren, Kristin, Jeffrey, Christina, and James; one great granddaughter, Kaelyn; two sisters, JoAnn Slabonek and Marilyn (Glen) Garner and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Regina Kmiecik. She lived in the greater Lansing area and worked for the State of Michigan Department of Community Mental Health until retiring in 1988 with 30 years of service. Patricia was a member of the Polish National Alliance where she served as a secretary. She was also a member of The Polish Falcons, The Elks and The Moose. She enjoyed, arts and crafts, bowling, ballroom dancing, traveling and spending many winters in Florida. Although she was a member of St. Therese Parish for many years her heart remained at St. Casimir Church, her home parish where she was baptized, attended school and was married. Rosary service to be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at 6 pm, at St. Casimir Church. The memorial mass will be held at St. Casimir Church, Lansing, December 29, 2014 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Bill Lugger to officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to memorial mass. Intermittent at 2 pm, at St. Joe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Patricia’s name to American Cancer Society or St. Lawrence Hospice Center. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Bush & Jensen Funeral Home, Lansing.
