Mr. Clyde W. Russell, 70, of Liberty Church Road, Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Russell was born October 11, 1944 in Alexander County to the late R. J. Russell and Marie Jolly Russell.
He was owner and operator of Russell Well Drilling Inc. and was a member of East Taylorsville Baptist Church.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Candas Russell and a sister, Mary Talbert.
Those left to cherish his memory include: a daughter, Carrie Russell of Taylorsville; a son, Chris Russell and wife, Tracy, of Taylorsville; three granddaughters, Kayla Russell, Natalie Russell and Cassie Jarvis; a grandson, Cole Jarvis; a sister, Linda Lail and husband, Jerry, of Hickory; a brother-in-law, Larry Talbert of Troutman; and Clyde’s dog, Buddy.
The funeral service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, December 28, 2014 at East Taylorsville Baptist Church. The Revs. Jamie Steel, Kevin White and Mark Marshall will officiate. Burial will follow in the Taylorsville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 1:30-3 p.m. prior to the service.
Pall bearers include: Kenneth Mayberry, Cory Elder, Stewart Akers, Logan Jones, Tally Gant and Shane Broyhill.
Honorary pall bearers include: Seth Payne and Donald Brown.
