Stanley Bert Quade

Funeral services for Stanley Bert Quade, 87, were to be held at 11 a.m. today at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden with the Rev. Wayne DuBose of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was to follow at Minden Cemetery.

Mr. Quade was born in Iron Mountain, Mich., to Albert and Ada Maul Quade on May 22, 1914. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Minden.

Mr. Quade owned Quade Studio for more than 50 years where he still worked every day with his son, John Quade. Mr. Quade belonged to the Minden Civitan Club for more than 50 years and was the oldest living Civitan Club member in the state of Louisiana. He was also a member of the American Legion and served in the United States Army during World War II. He held his four grandchildren very dear to his heart. They all referred to him as their "D-Daddy."

Mr. Quade is preceded in death by his wife, Elnora Davis Quade; parents John Albert and Ada Maul Quade; and brother, John Quade.

He is survived by his son, John Edward Quade of Minden; daughters, Connie Aclin and husband Ken of Shreveport and Janet Session and husband Charles of Bossier City grandchildren, Scott Aclin of Little Rock, Ark., Emily Aclin of Shreveport, Drew Sessions of Tyler, Texas, and Lauren Sessions of Bossier City; sister, Harriet Harkness and husband Bill of LaVerne, Calif.

Pallbearers were William Richard Hackett, Joe Holley, Marvin Fort(?), Steve Bryan, Ed LaBruyere, Jerry McCoy, Truman Walker and George Calvit. Honorary pallbearers were the Friendship Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Minden, the Minden Civitan Club and Eldred Lowe.
