Death of Elizabeth Messersmith
Mrs. Messersmith died at the residence of her son, Mr. William Hogg, near Brazito, in this county, on Sunday last, at the age of ninety-two past, having been born in 1800. She has lived the life of a pure Christian, and died in the full hope of a life beyond. For years she has been tenderly cared for by her devoted son, at whose home she died, and his family, and her last days were with those who had loved her and watched her for so long. The funeral services were held Tuesday, and the remains laid to rest in the family cemetery, in the presence of kind friends and loving relatives
