Lewis Marion and Eliza Evline Cochran married in Coffee County, Alabama, on March 8, 1857. They had two children - Sarah E. born in 1858 and Louis (Lewis?) Franklin, born in April, 1862.
Lewis Sr. died while serving in the Civil War, according to his widow Eliza. It is most likely he died at the Battle of Perryville, Kentucky, on October 8, 1862. Special thanks to fellow researcher HG Wells for this information.
Eliza moved to Texas with her two children on Dec. 18, 1872, and settled in Courtney, Grimes County, Texas.
