Funeral services are Friday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Waak officiating. Burial will follow in the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, Augusta Ahrens; daughter and son-in-law Doris and Jerry Haigler of New Braunfels; sons and daughters-in-law Stanley and Betty Ahrens of Lavernia, Clarence and Judy Ahrens of Colorado; brothers Leland Ahrens of Yorktown and Werner Ahrens of Fashing, Texas. Mr. Ahrens is also survived by eight grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Kenedy, Texas.
