Edgar C. -Hinkle, 92, father of Paul D. (Tony) Hinkle, athletic director of Butler University, died in Chicago, Saturday,
Born in 1875, in Logansport, he began teaching in Logansport country schools when he was 18 years old. He moved to Chicago in 1906.
Other survivors are two daughters, Miss Lois Hinkle, Chicago, and Mrs. Florence Lord, Oakland, Ill.
Private services will be held Tuesday in Chicago. Burial will be in'ML Hope Cemetery, in Chicago.
