~OBITUARY OF CHRISTIAN RASMUSSEN

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Christian RASMUSSEN, 74, farmer and stock grower, died at the family home on Second West and Fourth South streets Saturday after a lingering illness.

Mr. RASMUSSEN was born in Mount Pleasant, August 23, 1866, a son of Rasmus and Annie RASMUSSEN, early settlers of the city. He was married to Hermina HAFEN, January 21, 1891, and they were the parents of six children. Mrs. RASMUSSEN died May 22, 1928. He was married June 05, 1929, to Mrs. Abbie C. TAYLOR of Fairview.

Mr. RASMUSSEN was known as one of the most successful farmers and stockgrowers of Sanpete County. He was active in civic and L.D.S. Church work.

Surviving are his widow, and a son and three daughters, Jarrel RASMUSSEN of Filimore, Mrs. Ina R. HANSEN of Goshen, Mrs. Frances R. BUSHMAN and Miss Verda RASMUSSEN of Mount Pleasant; seventeen grandchildren and the following step-children; Onzel TAYLOR of Inglewood, California; Nile TAYLOR of Tooele, Mrs. Leta T. CHRISTENEN of Hiawatha, Mrs. Zola T. WORTHEN of Benjamin, Mrs. Marvel T. WARWOOD of Nephi, and three sisters, Mrs. Emma R. PETERSEN of Glendale, California; Mrs. Carrie R. WORDEN of Salt Lake City and Mrs. W. H. WINIG of Tacoma, Washington.

Funeral Services will be conducted by Bishop Andrew L. Peterson at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the South L.D.S. Ward Chapel. Friends may all at the family home from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of Services.

Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant City Cemetery, under the direction of the Jacobs Mortuary.
