Mrs. Yeisley Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Orville (Bertha Irene) Yeisley, 51, El Dorado Springs elementary school teacher, died at 10:15 p.m., Sunday at Nevada hospital where she had been a patient since Oct. 20. Mrs. Yeisley's home was on route 2, Sheldon and she had been in failing health for the past five years.
She was born Nov. 15, 1918, at Sheldon, the daughter of Anthony and Florence Kirkendol Harmon. In June, 1940 she was married at Clever, Mo., to Orville E. Yeisley, who survives. Mrs. Yeisley graduated from the Clever high school, however she spent most of her lifetime in the Sheldon area. She taught school in Barton county for 10 years before joining the El Dorado Springs faculty; she was a member of the Dunegan Grove Christian church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Lloyd Yeisley of Kansas City; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Meyers, Kansas City, and Mrs. Nancy Whitaker, Belton; 7 grandchildren; one brother, Delmar Harmon of Italy.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Jan. 1, Thursday, at the Beeny funeral chapel in Sheldon. The Rev. Willis Fowler will officiate and interment will be in the Dunegan Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock this evening.
