She was the daughter of Rudy and Neva (Buckey) Kable. On Aug 26, 1952, she married D. Wayne Petrie, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons: Clark (LuAnne), Colts Neck, NJ, Eric (Mary Schulz), Lansing, MI, Brett (Lynette), Austin, TX; two daughters: Kim (David) Jeffery, Girard, PA, and Leigh (Gerry) Limpic, San Diego, CA; a sister-in-law, Micheline Petrie; and fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Bruce.
A homemaker, she graduated from Celina High School in 1946 and briefly worked for the Celina Mutual Insurance Company. She became a licensed pilot and owned her own plane before she had a car. After her marriage, she and her family lived in Arizona, Illinois, New York, California, and Nevada. After her husband's death in 1998, she moved back to Celina. She was devoted to her family and the St. John Lutheran church. She helped with Bible studies, visitation, and the prayer chain. She enjoyed counted cross stitch needlework and created elaborate gifts for her family and friends.
Funeral services will be at the St. John Lutheran Church, with Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating.
