Kathryn Jane Belt-Compton of Knox City, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014, at Haskell Memorial Hospital in Haskell. She was 75. A graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 29, 2014, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas, Texas with Rev. Rick Willis officiating. A visitation is planned for Friday evening, December 26, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home in Knox City, Texas located at 210 Avenue A. Arrangements were made under the care of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
One of three children, Kathryn Jane Pharr was born January 21, 1939, in Lampasas, Texas to Maude Oleta (Bowden) and Weldon Lewis Pharr. Kathryn was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Lampasas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oleta and Weldon Pharr; her daughter, Cerelle Belt; brother, Ed Pharr; sister, Betty Ray; and brother-in-law, Allen Ray.
Kathryn is survived by her sister-in-law, Melba Pharr of Knox City; and 2 nephews, A.J. Pharr of Lubbock and Weldon Pharr of Irving; and her soul-mate, Danny Compton of Knox City.
