Born Sept. 25, 1921, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Eddie and Hulda (Rusher) Kranning.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Sarkes Tarzian for four years and Dearmin and Co. for seven years.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Marlene Culp of Elnora; a son, Larry Joe Asdell of Odon; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Eugene Kranning of Texas.
Her husband, Dennis Asdell, whom she married Oct. 27, 1939, preceded her in death. Also deceased is a son, Donald Ray Asdell; a son-in-law, Edward Culp; sisters, Noami Ruth Murray, Helen Marie Tomey and Vera June Kail; and a brother, William Henry Kranning.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Poindexter-McClure Funeral Home, Odon Chapel, with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
