Jewel Miller, 96, of Liberty, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Liberty Health Care Nursing Home in Liberty, Texas. She was born September 5, 1918 in Jasper, Texas to Charlie Miller and Luevenia Miller. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and worked various jobs in her life.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Connie Sue Fregia Thompson, sister Leona Miller Swearingen and husband Willie Swearingen, a grandson, a granddaughter, a niece and two nephews.
She is survived by her sons Billy Chancellor and wife Sharon, of Fairfield, Texas and Johnny Chancellor and wife Arlene, of West Columbia, Texas and Weldon Fregia and wife Lola, of Raywood, Texas; grandchildren Wes, Tammy, Randall, Kelton, Rebecca, Donna, Ken, Janey, Cyndi, Keith and Kay; great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A visitation with the family will be on Monday, December 22, 2014 from Noon until 1:00pm where funeral services will be at 1:00PM in the Chapel of Sterling Funeral Home, 602 N. Main St., Dayton, Texas, with Rev Danny Johnson officiating. Condolences can be sent online to www.sterlingfuneralhome.com.
Interment will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty.
