Mrs. Albert Braatz, nee Clara Ebert, died Friday evening at 6:30 at the County Home. Mrs. Braatz was born November 3, 1886 [1866] in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. C. F. Ebert. Later she came to Shawano with her parents and on August 6, 1884, was married to W. H. Mueller, a teacher at Bonduel. They moved to Shawano and on December 4, 1913 he died. On October 27, 1915, she married Rev. C. Holst at Mount Pulaski, Indiana. After living there a short time, they came back to Shawano. Where Rev. Holst died in August 1925. She has lived in Shawano since her marriage to Albert Braatz on December 5, 1928. Survivors are her husband, who is 80 years old, two daughters, Mrs. Clara Staub, Shawano, Frieda, (Mrs. Herman Wegner) Sheboygan, eight grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Nickel of Australia and Mrs. Esther Erdman of St. Louis, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, August 28 at 2 o'clock in the Karth Funeral Home. The Rev. K.R. Going will officiate and burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Karth Funeral Home from Monday afternoon until the time of services Tuesday.
