John Zapalac was my husband's (Ray Zapalac) grandfather.

John was son of Martin and Marina Krivackova Zapalac, brother of Rozina/Rosalie Zapalac Kristoff and Johann who was born and died on the ship from Europe. His sister Mary was born in Texas in 1879.

He married Marianna Kudelka in 1882 and had eleven children - John, Aloisie (Louise), Josef (Joe), Vincene (Jim), Emilie/Mildred (Millie), Rozina (Rosie), Jaroslav (Jerry), Viktor (Victor), Anna, Frank and Alfred.
