Leticia "Tish" Bailey Nelson, 57, of Crosby, Texas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Tish was a very happy person who loved everyone. She made friends easily and wanted to help everyone she met. She liked crafting, making things with her hands, gardening but most of all visiting with her friends. One of her greatest joys was meeting with her Sunday School class and church family. This brought her much joy and helped her during her battle with cancer. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Tish is preceded in death by her father, James Sweeney, Sr.; husband, Claude "Butch" Bailey; brother, James Sweeney, Jr.; and brother-in-law, David Sherrod. She is survived by her husband of seven years, Joe Nelson; mother, Johnye Sweeney; daughter, Patricia Jeffery and husband, Michael; son Kelly Bailey; sister, Stephanie Sherrod; brother, Stephen Sweeney and wife Brenda; step-sons James, Jeremy, Joe Bradley, Jonathan, and Justin Nelson; step-daughter, Jaime Albritton; grandchildren, Victoria Jeffery, Addyson and Blake Bailey; 14 step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be Monday, December 22, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church Crosby on December 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. with burial at 2:00 p.m. at Falba Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
