Abby Joan Underwood, age 79, Coatesville, passed away December 22, 2014. She was born in Cherry Grove, Montgomery County, IN on February 10, 1935 the daughter of John and Harriett LaRue Macquire Gray. She had worked in clerical for the Indiana State Police, had worked at Macs Mens Apparel, was the Matron for the Hendricks County Jail, and worked for Cindy’s Hallmark in Plainfield and Mooresville. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Plainfield, had been a member of the Coatesville Christian Church for 10 years, and was currently a member of the New Winchester Christian Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Underwood who she married on April 6, 1958; Son – Tim Underwood and wife, Sara, Plainfield; Daughter – Kim Underwood, Stilesville; Granddaughters – Amanda, Kayla, and Jenna Underwood; Brothers – Harvey Lee Gray, Holland, IN, and Bill Gray, Springfield, TN. She was preceded by her Parents, son – Terry Allison Underwood, and a sister.
