Diane D. Fox, 77, of Sumner, died Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Unity Point/ Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sumner with Rev. George Volkert officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 26th at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Sumner and for one hour preceding services at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery of Sumner Township.

Diane Dee, daughter of Robert and Mabel Scharnhorst Drewes was born March 31, 1937, at Iowa City, Iowa. Diane was baptized on August 17, 1938 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Eldorado, Iowa. She graduated from Randalia High School in 1955.

On June 12, 1955, Diane was united in marriage with Cebert Fox, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Diane was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sumner, on December 15, 1957.

She worked for thirty four years at Meinerz Creamery in Fredericksburg, retiring in 2003. Diane was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sumner and a former member of the Sumner Saddle Club.

Diane enjoyed horseback riding, camping, painting, attending the Iowa State Fair most years, but most of all enjoyed being a grandmother and attending the numerous activities her grandchildren participated in.

Diane is survived by her husband, Cebert of Sumner; six sons, Robert (Deb) Fox, Billy (Marla) Fox, Kenneth (Sharmaine Redfield) Fox, David Fox, Kevin (Elisha Mabb) Fox, and Bradley (Rita) Fox, all of Sumner; two daughters, Sheila (Joe) Wiedrich and Connie Fox, both of Sumner; thirty-two grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and two brothers, Harry Drewes of Sumner and Billy (Anne) Drewes of The Villages, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister-in-law, Betty Drewes; two brothers-in-law, James Gaede and Stan Lujan; and many aunts and uncles.
