Mrs. Jacobs was christened into the catholic faith as a child. Residing in Orange some 80 years, she was a lifelong member of the St. Therese Catholic Church. She worked faithfully in the church with her dearest friend, Mrs. Viola Bellard.
She was a 50 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. Peter Claver, Court #44. She was also a member of the Ladies Sodality and the Catholic Daughters.
Uniting in Holy Matrimony with Ned Jacobs, they shared their lives together until his death. Seven children were born to this union, Howard, Alvin, Albert, Mable Jacobs-Monroe, Mary Julia Jacobs-Monroe, Adam, and Solomon.
Mom, Mur, Mama Julia, Granny, Miss Julia, and Mrs. Jacobs as she was affectionately known, departed this life on December 13th, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, six siblings, and four children, Howard, Mable, Albert, and Solomon.
