"Kimberly Sue Todd-White 51 of Artemis Dr., Kent, Ohio, died Sunday morning, July 18, 2010 in Weston, W. Va. as a result of a car accident. She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on August 26, 1958 and is the daughter of Arlene (Hilditch) Todd and the late William Todd. Kimberly was an Honors English Professor at Kent State University for 20 years and was awarded the "Honors Faculty of the Year" at KSU in 2010. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Scott A. White. They were married July 15, 1992; a brother, Jeff Todd and his wife, Teresa of East Liverpool, Ohio; and two nephews, Billy and Alfred Todd also survive her. Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, 15872 St. Clair Ave., Calcutta, OH 43920 on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. Following the services, family and friends will gather for food and fellowship at the Hospitality Center of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Home at 145 West 5th Street, East Liverpool, Ohio. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Kimberly Todd-White Memorial Scholarship, c/o Kent State Foundation, P.O. Box 5190, Kent State University, Kent, OH 44242.
