Jeff was of the Christian faith, an avid Twin Valley Panther fan. He enjoyed reading, fishing, model cars, and playing cards with his family and friends. He was a graduate of Whitewood High School, Southwest Virginia Community College, and former employee of Southwest and Burns Security.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Fay Hicks Cantrell and his sister, Ellen Louise Cantrell Keene.
He is survived by his mother, Jeanette Bucklen Cantrell of Pilgrim Knob, VA; four sisters, Cheryl Ann (Tom) Smith of Richlands, VA, Jenefer Susan (Ralph) Rife of Grundy, VA, Althea Paige (Larry) Hicks of Jewell Ridge, VA, Marsha Lynn Blankenship of Vansant, VA and her companion, Perry Horn of NC; one brother, Gregory Rodger ( Marletta) Cantrell of Pilgrim Knob, VA.
Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom he considered his grand babies.
Memorial services for Paul Jeffery (Jeff) Cantrell will be conducted Monday evening, December 22, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Capel, Keen Mountain, VA with Rev. Troy Lester, Rev. Steve White, Rev. Brian Moore and Rev. Andy Maynard officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday at 6:00 p.m. prior to the funeral hour at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL, 32256
In honoring Jeff wishes, he will be cremated.
