Calvin Lee Carroll, age 79 of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014. He was born March 1, 1935 in Carrollton, Georgia to the late Mr. Samuel Andrew Carroll, Sr. and Minnie Bell Cook Carroll. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local #728 and a former member of Eastside Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Carroll and S.A. Carroll. Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley Brown Carroll to whom he was married for 57 years; his children, Lisa Fell, Terri and Sonny Armstrong, and Mike Carroll all of Carrollton; two sisters, Lois Wilson and Sybil Morrow both of Carrollton; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. Hubert and Shannon Carroll of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Joshua Fell, Ashley Fell and Michael Lane Carroll; and one great granddaughter, Raylei Fell. Funeral will be conducted Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Min. J.C. Cook and Rev. Hubert Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Garden. Pallbearers will be Joshua Fell, Phillip Carroll, Tony Carroll, Mark Buchanan, Wade Caldwell, and Jimmy Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be the Hardee’s Breakfast Group. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
