Angelo was the son of Harry Angelo and Helen Thomas Angelo. His brothers and sisters were Kaliopy, Pauline, Dimitra, William and George. He married Elsie Estelle Cooper on 13 Nov 1943 and had the following children: Faye, Dorothy, Angelo Jr., and Carol. He was a life-long resident of Portsmouth, VA. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1939. On 14 Jul 1944 he enlisted as a private in the US Army for a tour of duty during World WarII. As a teenager he worked for Trants Pharmacy as a helper and delivery man. His main occupation was working at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a machinist for Shop 31. Angelo was typically a very friendly man who deeply loved his family.
