Mrs. Carrie Lucille Knight, age 94, of Hays, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at her home. She was born January 10, 1920 in Watauga County to Jake and Elizabeth Ward Tester. Mrs. Knight was of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hal Knight; and two granddaughters, Kayla Dillard, Kathy Sue Dillard.
Surviving are four sons, James Knight and wife Sandra, Billy Knight, Jay Knight, David Knight all of Hays; three daughters, Maggie Dillard and husband Lannie of Lenoir, Betty Laws and husband Rev. William Laws, Linda Knight all of Hays; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 o'clock Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Cooper and Rev. William Laws officiating. Burial will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock Tuesday night.
