Seminole resident Billie Sue (Martin) Curtis, 67, passed from this life Sunday, Aug. 19, in Seminole.

She was born March 31, 1940, east of Maud, Oklahoma, Pottawatomie County, to the Rev. "L.G." Lois Graden Martin and Sister Eleanor (McCullouch) Martin.

Billie graduated from Saint Louis High School and was a member of the Sasakwa Assembly of God Church where her brother Wesley is the minister.

She worked for "Loving Care" home health care in Shawnee as a caregiver and nurses aid.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Daniel Leon Martin.

Billie leaves to cherish her memory two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Doug McElroy of Gainsville, Fla., and Kellie and Rick Taylor of Seminole; six brothers, John and Neta Martin of Greenville, Texas, David Martin of Talihina, L.G. Jr. and Julia Martin of Maud, Wesley and Joyce Martin of Sasakwa, Oklahoma, Timothy and Linda Martin of Maud, and Luther Martin of Maud; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Frieda Lee Martin of Maud, Becky Duncan of Sulphur and Cindy and Ronnie Robertson of Seminole; two grandsons, Zack Taylor and his wife, Stephanie of Seminole, and Adam Taylor of Stillwater; also surviving are a host of other family and dear friends.

Viewing will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. (The casket will not be re-opened following the funeral).

Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church in Bowlegs (Located on Hwy 377, five miles south of Seminole on the east side of the Hwy.) with the Rev. Wesley Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole (Located two miles east of Seminole on Hwy 270.)
