William C. “Bill” England, 84, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 28, 2014. He was born to Clyde Heber and Virginia Allen England on July 23, 1929 in Ogden, Utah. Bill drove semi trucks for several years with his father for the family business. He was a lifelong resident of Ogden.
He married Mary Jeanette Hurst on June 2, 1950 in Farmington, Utah.
Bill enjoyed doing woodworking crafts, and spending countless hours beautifying his yard. He belonged to the Northern Utah Good Sam Club and loved to travel. Bill loved antique cars and belonged to the Golden Spike Antique Car Club.
Bill was an active member of the Pleasant Valley 3rd Ward.
He worked as an Aircraft Electrical Inspector for Hill Air Force Base for 32 years.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mary England, South Ogden; sons, Jerry William (Teresa) England, Uintah; and Tony Lorance (Robyn) England, Layton; daughters, Judy Kay Glismann, South Ogden; and Terri Ann (Bruce) Nelson, Logan; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, brother, Richard England, Layton; and sisters, Cleo Perry, Lake Forest, CA; and Dorothy Terrell, Apple Valley, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dee and Robert England.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Aultorest Memorial Park. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
