Charles (Carlos) was born in Muro Lucano, Italy. He was the son of Luigi Felice and Amalia DellaRosa Farenga. He was the grandson of the Don Serafino Farenga and the Donna Vincenza Cantore-Farenga and Don Carlo DellaRosa and Donna Concetta Aiello DellaRosa. He was the great-grandson of Pasquale Farenga and Mariateresa Cerone-Farenga. He emigrated to the United States thru Ellis Island. He departed from the port of Napoli.

Charles or Charlie as he was affectionately called had 8 sisters: Mary (who did not emigrate to the United States), Edivique(Edith), Elizabeth(Lilly), Ida, Hilda, Immaculata Tini), Helen and Yolanda (Dolly).

He also had 3 brothers: Pasquale(Patsy), Frank and Luigi (Louis).

As was told to me by his sister Yolanda (my grandmother), he became sick - possible tuberculosis? while in America and was returned to Mauro Lucano,Italy where he passed away in 1912 at the age of 19.
