Funeral services for Mr. Michael Gene LeJeune, 68, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014, in the Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.

Burial will be in the St. Jules Cemetery.

Funeral home visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

A rosary led by Melody Trahan will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Friday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. LeJeune died Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Lafayette after a brief battle with leukemia.

He was a native of Jennings and a resident of Youngsville for 36 years. He was an E-3 in the U.S. Air Force where he made two tours in Vietnam. He loved to garden; he was a loving, caring and giving husband, father, and friend to everyone. He also loved Mil Mil’s cats.

Survivors include one daughter, Nicole LeJeune of Youngsville; one sister, Elaine Simon of Mississippi and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Lydiana Leger LeJeune; his wife, Mildred DuCharme LeJeune; one sister, Patsy Landry and one brother, Steven LeJeune.

Pallbearers will be Randy Campbell, Dannon Campbell, Kenny Menard, Garrett Menard, Andy Burley and Steve Miller.
