Clara H. Meyer, 96 of Loveland, passed away at the McKee Medical Center in Loveland on Friday, December 19, 2014.

Clara Henrietta Meyer was born on February 22, 1918 in Hardy, Nebraska to Henry D.C. and Sophia M. (Mangels) Kirchhoff. She later met and married Victor H. Meyer in Byron, Nebraska on April 2, 1945.

Victor and Clara farmed in Nuckolls and Thayer County Nebraska and later to Deshler, Nebraska where, with his brother in law, owned Massey Harris Implements, and also did custom combining. They moved to Loveland in 1964. In retirement they traveled and often wintered in Palm Springs.

Clara enjoyed life with its multiple interests, every day anew. Clara loved her family, being a homemaker and her hobbies that involved sewing, quilting, reading, writing, flowers and gardening. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Clara is survived by her son Vaughn and Kathy Meyer of Loveland; two grandchildren, Kristi (Chad) Christian and Kaylene Meyer; and a great grandson, Gage Christian.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Victor H. Meyer; son, Stanley Meyer; and her brother, Louis Kirchhoff.

A funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, from the Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home with interment following at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
