Earl L. "Bud" Hartman, 81, of York, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Evelyn L. (Hevner) Hartman. The couple observed their 55th wedding anniversary March 14.
The service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Workinger-Semmel Funeral Home Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery, with graveside military rites by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Viewing will be noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hartman was born June 29, 1919, in Camden, N.J. He was the son of the late Earl and Bessie (Lehr) Hartman.
He was a retired buyer with the Navy at the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Victory Athletic Association, White Rose Veterans of Foreign Wars 556; he was a former member of Red Lion American Legion Post 543; he was a 19M37 graduate of William Penn High School. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
Mr. Hartman also is survived by a daughter, Margaret A. Wagner of York; a grandson; and a niece.
Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. John J. Zoppi.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to York Salvation Army, 50 E. King St., York 17401.

He was the husband of Evelyn L Hevner, and the father of Margaret A Wagner and husband Steve R. of York; a grandson , Steve J Wagner and wife Jennifer of York; three great-grandsons, Nathan, Devon, and Gage. he was the brother of Donald E Hartman (1922-1998), and Mildred L Hartman.
