Brenda Marie Allen, 40, of 203 Pine St., Towanda, Pa., passed away Thursday evening, Dec. 18, 2014 at her home following a brave fight with metastatic breast cancer.
Brenda was born in Sayre, Pa., on Aug. 11, 1974. She was a graduate of Towanda High School class of 1992 and the Elmira Business Institute, Elmira, N.Y. Brenda was formerly employed as a bank teller in Michigan and by P&C Markets in Wysox, Pa.
Surviving are her children Tyler Allen, Elizabeth Allen and Kolby Penton all of Towanda; mothers Diane Vincent Dieffenbach of Standing Stone and Eileen Allen of Towanda; siblings Ronda Ann Allen Yonkin and husband Chris of Mildred, Lara Allen (Jason Chilson) of Asylum Township, David Ausem of Los Angeles, Calif., Richard Ausem of Stuart, Fla.; maternal grandmother Phyllis Stevens of Wysox; niece Megan Rose Yonkin as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and the love of her life Carl Pierce Jr. of Towanda. She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald L. Allen, on Nov. 7, 2001; sister Kristina May Allen on Dec. 24, 1986; maternal grandfather Donald Stevens; and paternal grandparents Doris and Emory Allen Sr.
A celebration of Brenda's life will be held Sunday, Dec. 21, 2014 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Towanda American Legion Post, 912 Main St., Towanda, Pa. Contributions in Brenda's memory may be directed to the B's are Beautiful Benefit, in care of Marlene Goss, Towanda American Legion Post, 912 Main St., Towanda, PA 18848.
