Ethel Mae Bouldin Young, 88, of 1300 Bouldin Road, Ridgeway, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, N.C.
She was born April 2, 1918, in Leaksville, N.C., to John Wesley Bouldin and Mamie Belle Eggleston Bouldin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lowell Young; and brothers, John Clyde Bouldin, Dewey Swanson Bouldin and Cecil Harden Bouldin.
She retired from DuPont and was a member of Horsepasture Christian Church where she was active in Sunday School Class No. 7.
Surviving are daughters, Carolyn Young Nelson of Cornelius, N.C. and Joyce Young de Rodriguez of Guadalajara, Mexico; a son, Robert Lowell Young of Whiteville, N.C.; a brother, W. Douglas Bouldin of Ridgeway; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. David Cuthbertson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Horsepasture Christian Church, and other times at the home on Bouldin Road.
