Goyo was born in Kerrville, Texas to the late Paulie Ayala and Cecelia (Lopez) Santos, who survives. He married Mary Delgadillo. She died on August 13, 2001. He was previously employed at General Tire. He enjoyed being with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Cecelia Santos, Marion; sons, George (Colleen) Ayala, Mike Ayala, Stevie (Cheryl) Ayala, Bennie (Kim) Ayala, Robbie Ayala, all from Marion, and Kenny (Angela) Ayala of LaFontaine; daughters, Diana (Huey) Warren of Gas City, and Christina (Larry) Clark of Wabash; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by father, Paulie Ayala, wife Mary Ayala; and sons, Rickey and Dean Ayala.
