James A. Price, 81, of Abbeville, SC, husband of Shelby Dorn Price, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at Petra Health & Rehabilitation in McCormick.
Mr. Price was born in Waynesboro, GA to the late Willie E. Price and Lizzie Eva Taylor Price Davis.
He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Pirelli (Prysmian) Cable in Abbeville, SC. Mr. Price was a member of Bells United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William R. Price.
Mr. Price is survived by his wife of 31 years of the home; two sons Walter Price of McCormick and Jeff Price of Abbeville; two daughters Sara Beth Scott of Edgewater, FL and Joan Harris of Umatilla, FL; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Alice Cann Price, of Abbeville.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 21 in Bells United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Lindley officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
